Coal Miner's Ball
The Coal Miner's Ball is an annual event that honors the old-timers who worked or provided goods and services for the coal mines in Sutton and Chickaloon.
The event is being hosted by the Sutton Coal Miner's Ball group and, as always, will be at the Alpine Inn, Mile 61 of the Glenn highway.
The event will include an induction
ceremony to induct new members to the Old Timer's Hall of Fame housed at the
Alpine Historical Park. Members of the Alpine Historical Society will
conduct interviews of new inductees and produce permanent displays for the
ball and to be added to the "Hall of Fame" at the historical park.
